Soaring up in the clouds
with the sun shining brightly behind me. 
I felt so light hearted, joyful, safe- like I belonged.

As I descended back down through the clouds
my gaiety was replaced by a forlorning. 
The more I descended
The more my view grew darker and darker
then finally,

I
           broke
                             through
                                                      the
                                                                   clouds.

What was waiting for me was

                                                              lifeless,
          frigid,
                                       bleak.

My heart longed,
begged to be back in the clouds,
soaring above it all.
Warm and safe.

                    Then

I felt another wave of emotion

Truth

It washed over me and I was reminded by my Father, 

“You are seated in heavenly places with me. 
You are always seated next to me. 
We are never separated. 
Fear not and worry not, 
for we are in perfect unity. 
You only need to remember and remain in me, for I am in you. 
We are United.”

And although my view hadn’t changed,
my heart found peace beneath the clouds.
