‘Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying:

‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month,
you shall have a sabbath-rest,
a memorial of blowing of trumpets,
a holy convocation.
You shall do no customary work on it;
and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord .’ ”’
Leviticus 23:23-25

As I say goodby to this year I reflect on all that has happened

All the waves I withstood
All the mountains I’ve climb;
countless of uphill battles all for that view on the mountain’s top

All the while you were there, encouraging me
Through the treks
Through the mud
Cheering me on

“Trust that I am not leading you astray.
Have faith that this is the way.
Know that I am God,
Know that I love you.”

Through my failures, my tears, and my fears
I held my ground, my pace, and my faith
I came to you over and over again asking for restoration
of peace, mind, and love

‘For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.’

Proverbs 24:16

You gave me again
You gave me truth
You gave won it all for me
