Here’s a story of how a couple friends and I ended up hiking Eaton Canyon.

As soon as the trails opened my housemate and I headed to Burbank to hike Runyon Canyon. I picked up my friend from Burbank and we headed towards the trail.

While we were in Burbank we drove passed the Warner Brothers Studio. We also passed the Magic Castle; which is so exclusive that you can’t even get in to watch a show without being invited by someone first.

After going up the winding roads we finally got to the park entrance only to find out that it was close. Dismayed we headed back down towards Hollywood. On the way there we pulled over and to snap the perfect picture of the Hollywood sign at Griffith Park.

While driving along we thought of where we could go hiking. Then I remember Eaton Canyon. I pass by the sign for this hike quite often and I’ve always wanted to go. The ladies agreed so we headed to Pasadena.

Eaton Canyon Information:

• Free parking, ample street parking
• Easy access/way to enter in
• Not a strenuous hike/Leisure walk
  • Not to steep but there are parts where it inclines
• The smell of flowers are quite potent
• There is a river that breaks up into streams
• Waterfall (It’s currently closed because of COVID-19)
• A good deal of shaded areas and places to rest

This hike is great for all ages and for any level of hiking you may be in.
