I often wonder why I am in Los Angeles and the word I got was Selah. Selah is a technical musical term probably showing accentuation, pause, interruption. LA is my life’s summer school.


Selah by Olguine Brutus

I am emptying myself
Of the busyness

And I am setting
a new rhythm of life for me

A rhythm that does not strive
Does not rush
Nor jump

But one that glides with grace
And flows with ease

One that matches my heart’s song, to the one who created me.

Because it is only in His rest, that I find my perfect rhythm of peace.
