Free pattern for knitted baby booties by Relief Share.
I found this pattern on ReliefShare.com a few years ago and I can’t find it any more. It was available for free so I thought I should post it up here for anyone who wants to use this. If you know who this pattern belongs to please let me know 🙂
For this pattern you will need:
You will need to know how to:
- Knit
- Purl
- Yarn Over
- Purl two stitches together
- Knit two stitches together
Knitting Abbreviations:
St(s): Stitch(es)
K: Knit
P: Purl
R: Row
Co: Cast On
K2tog: Knit two stitches together
Sl: Slip the next stitch
Psso: Pass slipped stitch over the next stitch
K2e: Knit to end of row
P2togtbl: Purl two stitches together through the back loop
P2tog: Purl two stitches together
P2e: Purl to the end of the row
Yo: Yarn over
Bo: Bind Off
*: Repeat instructions that are within **
Size:
Small (med, lg)
Small: 2 ¾ – 3 inches
Medium: 3 – 3 ½ inches
Large: 3 ½ – 4 inches
Gauge: 8sts = 1in
Notes:
- I always use the long tailed cast on.

Co 36, (40, 44) sts
R1-12) Knit every stitch
R13) K16, (18, 20,) k2tog, sl1, k1, psso, k2e
R14) P15, (17, 19,) p2togbl, p2tog, p2e
R15) K14, k2tog, sl1, k1, psso, k2e
R16) P13, p2togbl, p2tog, p2e
Rep r15-16 until you have 24, (28, 32) sts
R1: K1, yo, k2tog
R2-7) Knit every stitch
BO loosely
